ABOUT THE EVENT
Harmony for Healing is an annual music event dedicated to supporting mental health and suicide prevention. Our upcoming event, "Spirit in the Sky," pays tribute to the 1960s and is scheduled for February 20, 2025, at the Market Hall Performing Arts Centre in Peterborough. With a mission to harness the universal power of music to foster empathy and healing, our goal is to raise at least $10,000 annually over the next five years, totaling $50,000. All proceeds will support the A.O.S.P. program, an initiative that has been making life-changing impacts for years.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZER
Meet Phillip Jolicoeur, the heart and soul behind the Harmony for Healing Initiative in collaboration with the Canadian Mental Health Association. With over two decades of experience in marketing, philanthropy, event management, and public relations, Phillip has dedicated his life to community service. His commitment to service is evident through his collaborations with numerous non-profit organizations across Canada, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for charitable causes. In November of 2022, Phillip faced the tragic loss of his mother, Karen Jolicoeur, to suicide. This personal experience ignited his passion to support others facing similar struggles, ensuring they never feel alone.
A.O.S.P. PROGRAM
From June 2016 to March 2018, the A.O.S.P. program by the Canadian Mental Health Association has extended direct support to over 120 individuals and provided family care to an additional 50. The dedicated A.O.S.P. team develops individualized safety plans, assisting people during suicidal ideations, and helping them find hope. Proudly, no individual has died by suicide while under the assistance of the A.O.S.P. program.
